Australian Federal Election 2022
Apply for a postal vote now to have
your say.
We continue to encourage Australians who have not already done so to register
for a postal vote to
participate in the upcoming election. In person voting will not be available in
Hong Kong and Macau due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For this election, the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is delivering
postal ballot papers directly to overseas voters by international courier (DHL)
and has already commenced progressively sending postal votes to overseas
voters.
Completed postal votes should be sent as quickly as possible back to the AEC in
Australia or mailed or dropped-off to the Australian Consulate-General Hong
Kong no later than 4:00pm
on 20 May 2022 for onforwarding to the AEC by diplomatic
mail.
To drop off your postal vote, please visit the Consulate-General between 9:00am
to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday.
