The 23rd Annual
General Meeting of Engineers Australia, Hong Kong Chapter Date: 31st March 2025
My fellow EAHK members,
it gives me a great pleasure to present this President’s Report,
highlighting the achievements and progress of the Chapter since I assumed the role of President in March 2024. As you will
see from the reports from the committee, we have made some good progress.
As a member organisation, the achievements of the Society are a
result of the dedication of time and energy from our member volunteers, and the participation of our members. Each year, around
40 members volunteer to
serve the Chapter on committees, task forces, projects and events.
As a token of appreciation for their contributions, I would like to propose a
toast to all volunteers and recognize their exceptional service and acted as a
role model for others.
As social distancing is something of the past, we were able to hold
not only more TechTalks but also four networking events, the oversea chapters
annual dialogue and three young engineers' and engineering students’ events during the year.
These events allowed us to mingle with old friends, meeting
new acquaintances, and catch
up on the latest issues
facing engineers and scientists. With big turnouts, make sure you don’t miss the next event. We also thank the organisations who sincerely lent us
their venues or generously supported the events.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to
Young Engineers Australia Committee, Hong Kong, for their support and
contribution to the Chapter. They had the opportunity to share stories,
and anecdote to the student
members and potential young
Engineers Australia’s members.
Looking ahead, The Chapter is committed to promoting engineering
excellence and innovation in Hong Kong, China.
We will continue
to organize meaningful events and foster collaborations, and provide platforms
for knowledge exchange
and growth, as well as social events with other
engineering and science related learned society for our members, providing
platforms for collaborations and networking. I extend my sincere gratitude to
EAHK committee members and EA members who have contributed to the achievements
and progress of the Chapter. Together, we will uphold the highest standards and reputation of our Chapter.
I implore every
member to keep up your unwavering support and commitment in the year
ahead!
My best wishes for a healthy and happy festive season ahead! Thank
you for the support from all members of Engineers Australia, Hong Kong Chapter.
